Volunteers and technical students are working together building tiny houses for flood victims in West Virginia. They are expected to received the tiny houses before Christmas. This is part of a community movement known as GRaCE, the Greater Recovery and Community Empowerment collaboration to help victims through these challenging times.
For the technical students, who will be the future carpenters, electrician and plumbers this will be chance to get hands-on experience and to see their impact of their work. Construction materials and support will be donated by community members.
As for the flood victims, this effort is to help them form being dependence to independence. And finally for the community as a whole, the opportunity to give back to their community.
